Director of Recruiting

We feel the traditional contingency/retained model needs to evolve. In fact, clients say the same thing. The incentives for both agencies and clients are dramatically misaligned which has caused a massive decline in clients wanting or needing to use outside help. We see a world where there is tremendous trust in the recruiting process. We do this by using sophisticated business intelligence software coupled with a highly efficient process to execute searches.

Sage is disrupting the recruiting industry with a unique data driven recruiting model. Clients like Adidas, Bio-Rad, Trulia, Jobvite, Accenture, Walmart say we’re the best firm around. We’ve helped tons of clients eliminate their need for Contingency or Retained firms.

Recruiters at Sage are not bogged down by sourcing/outreach responsibilities. Our 3 teams work in parallel, allowing recruiters to focus on creating the stellar candidate and client experiences.

We are looking for an individual who is:

  • Capable of defining and implementing successful recruiting strategies.
  • Able to work with Venture Capital partners to create alignment amongst key stakeholders
We are offering both full-time and part-time employment for this role.

**Please note that location is key. We are located in Palo Alto and for your own convenience we would prefer you have a commute no longer than 45 minutes (including traffic time) on the regular. If you are within a 45 minute radius, we would love to speak with you.**

Specific responsibilities include:

Building Relationships is an integral part of this position.
Building executive level strategy to solve problems with human capital.
Work closely with other recruiters, hiring managers, relationship managers and sourcers to research top talent.
Knowledge of sourcing strategies (ex Boolean Searching).
Experience with tech, biotech, PR, Marketing, professional services industries is a plus.
Ability to write recruiting messaging/pitches.
You will develop a practice area with competency in various areas. You will also take recruiting calls and ensure proper closing of candidates both on the candidate and client side.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
A minimum of 8 years of overall full cycle recruiting experience.
Must be an organized team player, show initiative and be results oriented.

Some experience in a public relations, marketing, human resources, telesales or inside sales role a huge plus.
Passion to learn new things and a drive for success are paramount.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be an organized team player, show initiative and be results oriented.
Demonstrated ability to engage and work with senior leadership up to and including C-Suite professionals is required.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
